Should it be easy to dress ourselves or is there something to gain from the act of active attention and collaboration when putting clothing on our bodies? Ingewikkeld is a research about clothing experience. The carte blanche players will explore this piece and its layers to look for what dressing up can mean.
By tweaking perception, textures and proportions, I like to explore our human connection to objects. And to draw attention to the beauty of the mundane. Cable sweaters used to be made by the fishermen wives and they would use their own patterns that would fit with the region or family tree. My angle is one where the wearer would interact with the piece itself, fold, bent and close it. What I hope to evoke is that they feel inspired to observe and contemplate the world around them and their moments of dressing up, or down.
